“She’s a torment in my home” – Married woman calls out actress, Irewole Olaniyan over alleged three years affair with her husband
Nollywood actress Irewole Olaniyan has been called out by a married woman identified as Mary Edris.
In a now-deleted social media post, she accused the actress of having an affair with her husband for about three years.
She claimed she had previously approached the actress privately to discuss the matter; she initially denied knowing he was married, described him as not her type, called him unprintable names, and said she blocked him.
Despite Irewole’s claims, Mary said the relationship continued, and her husband supported Irewole’s movie productions, trips, expensive bags, and lifestyle. She alleged that the actress went on a trip with her husband to South Africa in September 2024.
She called Irewole a home wrecker and a torment in her home, crying for her to leave her husband. Mary said the movie star was portraying a false image online, and she was done staying quiet about it.
She said her husband had dumped the actress, and yet she was still contacting him with different numbers and asking for money.
To prove her point, she shared screenshots of Irewole saying she ended her relationship with the man long ago and accused Mary of trying to damage her reputation.
“Irewole Olaniyan is a trouble in my marriage!
I’ve had enough; 3 years now, Ireland has been seeing my husband.
I reached out to her personally as a lady to a lad, and she said she didn’t know he was married. This lady stays on my store street, knows my movements, knows when I’m at my store or home and claimed not to know the man is my husband.
I let it go.
She said he is not her type of man and called him all sorts of names, including that she blocked him.
It doesn’t end there; she never stopped for years.
This man has been behind her movie productions and her trips; they travelled to South Africa together in September 2024, and there were expensive bags and a lavish lifestyle.
She portrays herself as a successful, hardworking, and consistent actress; meanwhile, she’s a home wrecker.
I’ve had enough; I’ve talked like an adult, and I’ve been quiet, but she has pushed my patience to the limit.
She has been a torment in my home/marriage.
Irewole Olaniyan, home wrecker.
Irewole Olaniyan, Cynthia, stay away from my home.
He’s dumped your ass, but you won’t let him be, calling him and texting him from different numbers.
You’re always asking for money; you’re a leech. You are not what you portray to be; you’re a broke ass, and you know your lifestyle will have to be on hold; that’s why you kept begging him. Leave my family alone and stay away from us!
I want to apologise to my family and friends who might seem disappointed in me for coming out this way, but just know I’ve held my peace for so long, anfeelsd if you haven’t been in my shoes, you wouldn’t know how it fits.
I can’t take it anymore”.

You’ll fade away If you try to act like Wizkid’ — Mayorkun to upcoming artistes
Nigerian singer, Mayorkun has warned emerging artistes against adopting a mysterious public image like that of his colleague, Wizkid, without first establishing themselves in the music industry.
The singer advised upcoming musicians to focus on building their careers and connecting with fans rather than attempting to imitate the approach of established stars.
According to Mayorkun, “trying to maintain a mysterious image like Wizkid as a newcomer could cause you to fade into obscurity”.
He suggested that upcoming artistes need to make themselves visible and build a solid fan base before considering such an approach.
Wizkid, one of Nigeria’s most prominent Afrobeats stars, is known for maintaining a relatively private lifestyle, with limited public appearances outside music-related activities.
