Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun has released a public statement following the death of his daughter, Zeenat Balogun.

It wascreported last week that it was a black Sunday for Saidi Balogun as he lost his first daughter. The Yoruba actor, via his Instagram page, shared a photo of a candlelight with flowers surrounding it, with several birds and heartbroken emojis.

Now taking to his Instagram page, he shared a screenshot of the family statement where they expressed their profound gratitude to their friends, colleagues, and well-wishers for being their beacon of light in their darkest hour.

The family statement described the deceased as a warrior who gave life all and was the embodiment of joy, acceptance, and resilience. The late Zeenat was further described as a die-hard believer in the phrase never give up.

“We extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone who reached out to my family during this difficult time. We have been deeply moved by the overwhelming care, the heartfelt messages, and the many condolence visits. Your presence, prayers, and acts of kindness have truly touched our hearts. The love and support from friends, neighbors, and even those we have not seen in years have been a constant source of strength. Your compassion has made this challenging period more bearable, and for that, we are immensely grateful”.

In August, actor, Francis Duru lost his son, Ifeanyi. The light-skinned actor made the news known on his Instagram page as he compared his son to a lion who fought fiercely for his life. The actor stated that if this was how God wanted it, so be it, and he wouldn’t judge him.

Last year, on Father’s Day, skit maker Olagunju Solomon Olamide, better known as Akika, lost his son. The skitmaker made the sad news known on his Instagram page as he stated that he was looking for the perfect picture of himself and his son to post online before his demise.

I lost my memory after the accident – Lekan Olatunji

Nollywood actor, Lekan Olatunji has revealed he once lost his memory after surviving a life threatening accident.

In a recent interview with Celebrity Gists, Olatunji recalled that he spent three months in the hospital while undergoing treatment.

The actor revealed that, in addition to undergoing multiple surgeries, he was also struggling with memory loss.

“There’s was a time I had an accident and it wasn’t easy. I was in the hospital for three months with memory loss. So I thank God for his grace,” he said.

He also expressed great gratitude and commended the doctors for a job well done while also thanking God for sparing his life.

“Here I am doing well, we should give the doctors their own praise and God his glory.

“Even my doctors friend were shocked and said they wouldn’t believe me if they hadn’t seen me. They saw my skull because I went through a series of surgeries. But I thank God because it wasn’t easy,” he said.

Tyler stated he loves music more than any girl he has ever dated.

During an Instagram conversation, the singer declared that he wants to do music forever.

He said, “Music for me is not just a hobby. As a kid, I didn’t really play with toys, I liked CDs. I love when my mom takes me to the storehouse because I would just sit near CD collections, reading the credits. That was the greatest thing for me.

“I was attending birthday parties, I was at Warehouse Music. I love music so much, more than any girl I’ve ever dated and they know. I told them, I like you, but you would never come above music. Me making music would be forever.”

Singer Tiwa Savage’s estranged husband, Teebillz has called out her manager, Vanessa Amadi-Ogbonna for booking back-to-back jobs for the singer without minding the fact that she’s a mother.


Teebillz stated that Tiwa Savage’s busy schedule has made their son Jamil lonely.

While admitting that he shares in the blame, Teebillz claimed that Vanessa largely contributed to it by creating busy schedules for the mother of his child.


He claimed that Vanessa only cares about the percentage she gets from Tiwa Savage’s deals and not the wellbeing of their child.

Teebillz said Jamil is hurting not having his mother by his side.

In a recent Instagram post, he wrote, “I love the mother of my child. God will expose you! You only care about %. I hired you as a PR and the mother of my child guiltiy made u manager. I’m not drunk or high.

You are a fraud. As lonely as Jamil confessed to me, you never amount to nothing! I’m back! How the f*ck are you a manager without a Billboard! My son is so hurt not having his mom and I’m guilty too but respectively f*ck you Vanessa!”
