Ronaldo Rape Accuser Has Post-Traumatic Stress – Lawyers

I've No Special Treatment For Ronaldo - Juventus Manager, Pirlo

Lawyers for a woman accusing Cristiano Ronaldo of raping her nine years ago have said that their client has been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress and depression, conditions they argue would have made her legally incompetent to reach a non-disclosure agreement.

Kathryn Mayorga did not appear with her lawyers at a news conference in Las Vegas the same day that Ronaldo denied the rape accusations, using Twitter to say he had a “clear conscience” as he awaits results “of any and all investigations”.

“I firmly deny the accusations,” he said.

“Rape is an abominable crime that goes against everything that I am and believe in. Keen as I may be to clear my name, I refuse to feed the media spectacle created by people seeking to promote themselves at my expense.”

Ms Mayorga’s lawyer Larissa Drohobyczer told reporters of a psychiatrist’s recent medical opinion, saying: “These (psychological) injuries rendered Kathryn incompetent to participate in the negotiations and settlement and non-disclosure in 2010.”

Non-disclosure agreement

The argument previews claims Ms Drohobyczer and law partner Leslie Stovall would make when asking a judge to void the non-disclosure agreement that the lawyers say Ms Mayorga signed while accepting a $375,000 US dollar (€326,000) payment from Ronaldo.

Ms Drohobyczer and Mr Stovall spoke of Ms Mayorga on Wednesday by name. Ms Drohobyczer told the Associated Press on Tuesday that Ms Mayorga gave consent to have her name made public.

A civil lawsuit filed last week in state court also seeks monetary damages that Mr Stovall said could, counting compensatory and punitive damages, amount to many times more than the minimum $200,000 (€174,000) sought under Nevada state law.

Lawyer David Chesnoff in Las Vegas, who was hired on Wednesday by Ronaldo, issued a statement “categorically” denying the allegations and expressing “complete faith in the justice system”.

Mr Chesnoff said Las Vegas police investigated Ms Mayorga’s sexual assault claim in 2009 and did not recommend the filing of criminal charges.

Civil lawsuit
The civil lawsuit filed on September 27th in state court in Las Vegas alleges Ronaldo raped Ms Mayorga in his penthouse suite at a Las Vegas hotel and hired a team of what the document called “fixers” to pressure Ms Mayorga to keep quiet.

Earlier this week, the 33-year-old Portuguese player used social media to label the allegation “fake news”.

Ms Drohobyczer acknowledged that Ms Mayorga accepted the money nine years ago because she never wanted her name made public.

Las Vegas police said they would not be releasing the report that Ms Mayorga filed the day she said she was attacked, because the investigation is open.

Ms Mayorga also was influenced in recent months by the #MeToo movement, Ms Drohobyczer said.

The civil lawsuit in Clark County District Court accuses Ronaldo or those working for him of acts of conspiracy, coercion and fraud, defamation, battery, breach of contract and negligence for allowing details of the confidential settlement to become public.

Cole Palmer ready for Pafos clash despite injury concerns in huge boost for Rosenior

Published

on

Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer is ready to start against Pafos in the Champions League this week.

Palmer’s performance against Brentford was Palmer’s 13th appearance of what has been an injury-plagued campaign so far and was just the fourth time he has completed 90 minutes under both Enzo Maresca and Liam Rosenior.

Fans were worried that the England star would not be ready to face Pafos after the 23-year-old was spotted clutching his groin shortly after the full-time whistle against the Bees.

However, football.london report that Palmer was on the grass with his teammates at Chelsea’s training base in Cobham and looked fine throughout the session, which is a huge boost for Rosenior and his side.

Chelsea are two points off the automatic last-16 places with two games to go and are competing in their fourth different tournament in the space of four games as Rosenior is pushed to the limit in his first few weeks at the club.

Palmer’s comeback from a groin injury that kept him out for over two months, from September to December, has restricted his game time and performances this season.

He is unlikely to start against Pafos but could feature off the bench late into the game as Rosenior tries to build his match fitness for what remains of the season.

Oscar Bobb set to leave Man City this month

Published

Manchester City star Oscar Bobb is set to leave the club after being slowly forced out of the club.

Following the arrival of Antoine Semenyo, Bobb, who rarely featured under manager Pep Guardiola, has been pushed aside in recent weeks as the club seek to offload the teenager.

The 22-year-old has featured 19 times in 2025-26 following further injury concerns and despite his recent return, he has been absent from the side who are winless so far in 2026.

Now, as reported by journalist Ben Jacobs, Bobb is set to be sold as City cash in on the youngster who is very unlikely to be handed any more opportunities in the side.

“Oscar Bobb could leave Manchester City this month on a permanent transfer. As revealed in December, Fulham are keen.

“Discussions are now advancing, as @FabrizioRomano called.

“Dortmund also have Bobb on their radar.

“Manchester City prefer a sale to a loan and value Bobb in the region of £30m-£35m depending on the structure.

“Understand Bobb is now Fulham’s top priority. Fulham also still working on USMNT forward Ricardo Pepi despite his injury.”

Man Utd make contact with Borussia Dortmund coach Kovac

Published

on

Manchester United have made a move for Borussia Dortmund coach Niko Kovac.

While they have Michael Carrick in place after sacking Ruben Amorim, United only see their former midfielder as a stop-gap to the end of the season.

Sky Deutschland says United have made contact with Kovac’s camp seeking information on the Croatian’s plans.

Kovac took charge of Dortmund a year ago and penned an extension to 2027 at the start of this season.

However, it’s understood the 54 year-old holds an ambition to work in the Premier League.

Dortmund sit second in the Bundesliga, 11 points off near-perfect Bayern, and are tenth in the Champions League.
