My boobs get me noticed, talent keeps me relevant— Actress Diva Gold

Actress and content creator, Olukemi Niyi-Aluko, popularly known as Diva Gold, has dismissed the notion that physical appearance alone guarantees lasting success in the entertainment industry, saying that while her body may attract attention, it is her talent and professionalism that have sustained her career.

Speaking in an interview, the actress addressed the perception that her boobs and curvy shape have given her an advantage in the movie industry.

She said, “I won’t deny that appearance can attract attention in the entertainment industry, but attention is different from longevity. My body, especially my breasts, may get people to notice me, but my talent, professionalism and work ethic are what keep opportunities coming. I want to be remembered for my performances, not just my physique.”

Speaking on how she has remained relevant in an industry where trends change rapidly, the actress said authenticity has been her greatest strength.

“I focus on consistency rather than chasing every trend. I create content that reflects who I am as an actor and storyteller. Trends may bring attention, but authenticity is what builds a lasting career,” she said.

She also revealed that real-life experiences inspire her performances more than social media trends.

“Real life inspires me the most. I observe people, emotions and everyday experiences because they make performances feel believable. Imagination helps bring those experiences to life, while trends only influence me when they align with my style,” she explained.

On the roles that have had the greatest impact on her, she admitted that emotionally demanding characters often stay with her long after filming ends.

“Every emotional role leaves a part of itself with me, but the ones that involve pain, trauma or loss stay with me the longest. They challenge me mentally and remind me of the responsibility that comes with telling people’s stories honestly,” she said.

Gold also reflected on her journey to becoming confident, noting that it was not something she was born with.

“I definitely grew into it. Like many people, I had moments of self-doubt, but experience, self-awareness and believing in my craft helped me become more confident. Today, my confidence comes from knowing who I am, not from seeking validation,” she said.

Looking ahead, she noted that her ambitions extend beyond acting.

“The next level is taking on more challenging lead roles, producing bigger projects, working with international filmmakers, and building a production company that creates stories with global impact,” she stated.

Sharing her experience as a woman in the entertainment industry, the actress described the journey as both rewarding and demanding.

“It’s rewarding, but it’s also challenging. As a woman, you often have to work harder to prove yourself while dealing with stereotypes and unrealistic expectations. I’ve learnt to set boundaries, stay professional, and let my work speak for itself. Thankfully, there are also many people in the industry who genuinely support and respect talent,” she said.
