Arsenal Survive Late Spurs Surge To Win 3-2

Published

on

Arsenal overcame the hurdle of a north London derby and an anxious finale to maintain momentum in the Premier League title pursuit with a vital victory at Tottenham.

The Gunners’ meeting with their bitter rivals was seen as arguably the most treacherous of their remaining fixtures, but they took ruthless advantage of Spurs’ defensive flaws to establish a three-goal lead by half-time.

Arsenal were then thrown off course when a dreadful clearance by goalkeeper David Raya presented Cristian Romero with a goal after 64 minutes, the nerves really jangling when Heung-Min Son scored from the spot three minutes from the end of normal time after Declan Rice fouled Ben Davies.

It was all so different when Arsenal went ahead after 15 minutes as the recalled Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg glanced Bukayo Saka’s corner into his own net, the England forward crowning a sweeping counter-attack with a smooth finish for the second after 27 minutes.

Spurs, who saw Micky van de Ven’s goal ruled out for a marginal offside with the score 1-0, were infuriated as they claimed Leandro Trossard had fouled Dejan Kulusevski before Saka scored, and were even more frustrated when the unmarked Kai Havertz headed in Arsenal’s third from another corner seven minutes before the break.

Arsenal were then content to see out the victory, only for Raya to give Spurs hope by sending a clearance straight to Romero.

An unlikely Spurs comeback seemed on when Son scored from the spot but Mikel Arteta’s side were able to close out the game.

Published

on

Nollywood actress, Olurintimilehin Bosede Bukola better known as Kiitan Bukola has slammed her colleague for manipulating a movie producer against her.

In a lengthy post on her Instagram story, Kiitan revealed that she was sent a script by a particular director, was given a character name and for months, she put herself into character, even going as far as canceling her birthday trip.

Unfortunately, she was never called for the movie as she found out that the movie was already being shot without her.

She disclosed that she laughed and moved on and weeks later, she learnt that a colleague of hers, who she respected and was always showing her fake love had manipulated the director to reject her.

Calling out the colleague, whose name she didn’t reveal, she told her to stop being an hypocrite as she admonished her to show it, if she doesn’t like her.

Despite it all, she wouldn’t allow that weigh her down as believes in the saying, “What is mine will never pass her by”.

“I was sent a script by a particular director, I was giving my character name, I already digest this story and put myself in character for month, I canceled my birthday trip for this same job, only to find out they have already started shooting the movie. I laughed and moved on. Weeks later, I got to realize it was a particular person who was really against me that they just not use me, reason best known to her. Because she was close to EP, she was able to manipulate it all.

Note: This is someone I respect so much. Someone who always pretend to love me. Someone who wrote epistle to wish me HBD that same period.

If I was not seen in that character, it’s a different thing, but every other people wanted me but you insisted no. Only you know why cos you gave no reason to them. If you don’t like me show it, avoid me, stop being an hypocrite. Trust me things like this don’t get to me cos I always expect the unexpected. Fake birthday love everywhere. Reason I am never freaked by it, out me on Instagram story and let it go off after 24 hours. I am good or don’t wish me at all if you don’t like me genuinely.

Note this: What’s mine will never pass me by, it can only take time. It has been assigned by God, one mind always help.

You Lack The Wherewithal To Take Nigeria Out Of Economic Misfortune, Suswan Blasts Tinubu

Published

on

..Insists His Govt Has Impoverish Nigerians

Former Governor of Benue State and Senator who represented Benue North-East Senatorial District in the 9th National Assembly, Gabriel Suswam, says the current Nigerian leadership headed by President Bola Tinubu lacks the wherewithal to take the country out of the economic misfortune inflicted by his predecessor Muhammadu Buhari.

According to Suswam, the removal of petrol subsidy, floating of the naira, increase in electricity tariff, among other policies initiated by the Tinubu government is evident that the former Lagos State governor is out to make things worse for the Nigerian masses.

He also talks about the leadership crisis in his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), insisting that he possesses what is needed to take the party back to its glorious days.

He maintains that the PDP remains the party to take Nigeria out of the woods.

“This government will be one year next month. We’ve given the government that holiday to see what they are capable of doing, whether there are indications that this government have capacity to take Nigeria out of the woods.

“Unfortunately, we’ve seen that this government is taking Nigerian down and we are now hanging on the precipice as a country. Every day, new economic policies, new social policies are taken that are anti-people, they are completely anti-people and so the PDP is now building back as an opposition. We will put ourselves together to provide that viable alternative for Nigerians, the PDP that they knew. Now that they have a basis for comparison, they now know that PDP was a far better party than what they promised.

“Well, it’s rather unfortunate right from the Buhari Government where the mantra of ‘Change’ was the singsong. Unfortunately, people didn’t ask what kind of change he was bringing into governance. Is it positive change or negative change?

“What we experienced under those eight years were what dovetailed into what we’re experiencing today because whatever foundation that was built by the PDP was completely destroyed by that (Buhari) government. We now began a journey to the abyss. The state of the nation, economically, is nothing to talk about, it’s unfortunate that the current (Tinubu) leadership does not have what it takes to change the economic fortunes of this country.

“All the economic policies that they’ve engaged in or they have taken clearly indicate that they can’t solve the economic problems of this country. I give you some example, you remove subsidy from day one, you now float your currency, increase interest rate. Now the tariff for electricity has been increased. How does an average man survive under those kinds of heavy bad economic policies?

“First, subsidy itself is a problem, it affects the cost of transportation, cost of production, because you’re dealing with energy, now that has been removed. So, the person who is selling foodstuff who now was transporting maybe from inside Abuja at the cost of N5,000 now has to transport that at the cost of N15,000. Where do you think the cost will end? To the consumer. So, inflation in this country is at 31 per cent. It is unheard of!

“Now, look at floating of the currency. There’s no developing economy that has floated their currency that have gotten out of it, none. Is it the Latin Americans? They have not.

“In the 80s and early 90s, most of the problems of Latin American countries was the fact that they took very bad economic policies such as this current government is taking — floating of the currency, removal of subsidies here and there.”
