Published

on

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has shed light on her controversial statement where she said she had 20 boyfriends when she met her husband, Ned Nwoko.

It was reported a day back that Regina Daniels had recounted how her mother and family were against her marriage to her husband. In a TikTok live session with her friends,

Regina shut down claims that she had no choice when she married Ned, as she made them know that she had over 20 boyfriends when she met Ned Nwoko and was visiting one of them when she met Ned.

The mother of two admonished ladies not to allow their boyfriends to stop them from meeting their husbands as she promised to share her story someday.

Now clarifying things via her Instagram page, Regina said she had lots of boyfriends, but she made a promise to keep her virginity till her marriage, and that’s what she did.

Calling it a big flex, she said she is clarifying things up to soothe her husband and to educate young girls that having several male/ boyfriends willing to do things for you doesn’t mean you have to sleep with them.

“Hey everyone, I want to clarify the 20 boyfriend ish solely to soothe my husband and also educate young girls that having several male/boyfriends willing to do things for you doesn’t mean you owe them your body. And oh yes. I did have a lot but I made a promise to keep my virginity till my marriage. And guess what? I did!!!. It’s a big flex.

But hold on! What did you guys expect na? It was your little beautiful sweetheart, Regina Daniels, of course, men and ladies would admire. So everyone chill pls”.

In March of this year, Ned Nwoko stirred the internet after he made it known that he couldn’t marry a woman who wasn’t a virgin. He noted how people always have an idea of the woman he should marry, but he doesn’t listen. He stated that he has a taste as he further added that one must be a man of vision to know to be able to sight a good woman.

Last week, Regina responded to those hoping for her to leave her older husband as she shared a screenshot of her husband expressing concern about her after she told him she was going out with friends. Reacting to it, Regina slammed those who said she should leave the marriage as she vowed to die there.

Regina Daniels shocked the internet when she married in April 2019, to politician, Ned Nwoko, who is older than her with 38 years.

Shedding light on her marriage, Regina said she is the stubborn type, so she married an older man so she could be submissive. Her husband, on his part, debunked rumours that he met Regina through her mother as he revealed that they fell in love and got married within three weeks.

In May, the couple celebrated their 5th anniversary with a clip of them doing a photoshoot. Regina stated that the past five years have been a remarkable one for them, with so much love to show for it. Ned Nwoko also described the past five years with her as good and eventful, as he stated they were just starting.

Banky W bags Master’s degree in Policy Management from US varsity

Published

on

Nigerian singer and politician, Bankole Wellington, popularly called Banky W, has earned a Master’s degree in Policy Management from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., USA.

He announced this in a post accompanied by photos from his graduation on Instagram on Tuesday.

In his post, Banky, who welcomed a second child with his wife, Adesuwa, revealed how the past few years stretched him as he juggled full-time graduate studies, a fellowship on Capitol Hill, and parenting two young children in the United States.

He wrote, “I am thankful to share that I have just earned my Master’s degree in Policy Management (some institutions call it an MPA – Master’s of Public Administration).

“I’m grateful to have been able to study at one of the greatest schools on the planet for Public Policy – #georgetownmccourtschool #georgetownuniversity.

“I’m even more grateful that we welcomed our 2nd child – Hezekiah Oluwadarasimi Wellington into the world in the middle of earning this degree in Washington DC.

“Parenting 2 children in the US, while earning a full-time Master’s and serving as a Fellow on Capitol Hill all at the same time was completely exhausting, but by the grace of God, the strength of faith and the support of family, friends and mentors, we did it!”

Banky W noted that he learnt that it was impossible to pour from an empty cup and deemed it necessary to “step off the dance floor and onto the balcony… to reflect on how far you have come, who you are, and who you would like to become.

“Because success in life and leadership isn’t just about a specific destination or the journey to get there, but about who you become along the way.”

“Faith gives you the courage, resilience and power to redefine endings. What many may see as the finish line of a journey can become the starting point of the next chapter of your story,” Banky wrote.

He also hinted at returning to active engagement in life and career as he hoped that his story would inspire his fans to pursue their ambitions.

“So as I prepare to step off the balcony and return to the dance floor, I hope you take this as a sign that it’s never too late to dream a new dream, or redefine the ending of an existing one,” he concluded.
