Crossdresser, Bobrisky, has blasted Nigerians dragging luxury shopper, Kaycee Luxury, online following his arrest by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, over an alleged N39 billion cocaine case.

Bobrisky took to social media to call out critics, saying many people who used to hail the luxury shopper quickly changed the moment he ran into trouble.

“Nigerians are the biggest hypocrites. So many of you have a lot to say about KC Luxury now, but you couldn’t say any of it to his face before he got arrested.

“Many of you were busy kissing his ass before his arrest, but the moment he got arrested, you suddenly found your voices and opinions. Fear human beings o, especially men! If you think men don’t secretly envy each other, then you’re lying to yourself,” Bobrisky wrote.

Stressing that he is not friends with the suspect, Bobrisky said it is wrong for close associates to start running away and denying him because of the scandal.

“I will never deny any of my friends regardless of his/her offense. I will condemn his act but still stand tall for him or her. I can see some of his friends denying him what a pity.

“I understand if you don’t know him or he’s not ur friend, hearing that offense alone worth castigating him but his close friends naaaa. 2026 nobody dey get bestie again o,” he said.

Nigerian music stars Burna Boy and Tems have earned nominations at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), with Burna Boy receiving two nods and Tems securing one.

The nominations were announced on Tuesday ahead of the awards ceremony scheduled to hold at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 27.

Burna Boy received both nominations for his collaboration with Colombian singer Shakira on their song, Dai Dai.

The Grammy-winning singer is nominated for Best Collaboration, alongside Clipse, Kendrick Lamar, Pusha T and Malice for Chains & Whips; French Montana and Max B for Ever Since U Left Me; Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter for Bring Your Love; PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson for Stateside; and Teyana Taylor and Lucky Daye for Hard Part.

Dai Dai also earned Burna Boy a nomination in the Best Latin category, where it competes against songs by Anitta and Shakira, Bad Bunny, Fuerza Regida, KAROL G, Rosalía featuring Yahritza y Su Esencia, and Ryan Castro, Kapo and GANGSTA.

Tems, meanwhile, received a nomination for Best R&B for her collaboration with British rapper Dave on Raindance.

The pair are up against Bruno Mars’ I Just Might, Chris Brown’s It Depends/Obvious, Justin Bieber’s YUKON, Kehlani’s Folded, and Mariah the Scientist and Kali Uchis’ Is It a Crime.

The 2026 VMAs will air live on CBS, with a simulcast on MTV and streaming on Paramount+. Fans can vote in most categories daily until September 25 at 6 p.m. ET

Madonna leads this year’s nominations with 11, while Taylor Swift follows with nine.

Notably, the Best Afrobeats category, which featured in previous VMAs, is absent from this year’s nominations. In 2025, South African singer Tyla won the award for “Push 2 Start,” beating Nigerian nominees Burna Boy, Wizkid, Rema, Tems and Asake. Tyla had also won the category in 2024 for “Water,” while Rema and Selena Gomez won the inaugural award in 2023 for “Calm Down.”

The MTV VMAs are an annual awards show created by MTV in 1984 to celebrate the best music videos, songs and artists. The awards are known for their iconic Moonperson trophy and memorable pop-culture moments.

Big Brother Naija reality TV star, Segun Olusemo, popularly known as Sheggz, has confirmed that his relationship with fellow former housemate Bella Okagbue ended in January 2026.

Sheggz disclosed this in a statement shared on his official social media page, where he addressed allegations surrounding the breakup and denied cheating on Bella.

He said he had remained silent out of respect for his family but decided to speak after what he described as attempts to damage his reputation.

“I have never spoken publicly on the internet out of respect for my family, and it simply isn’t my nature to do so. However, after four years of working hard to build my life and my reputation, I feel it is only fair to clarify my position rather than allow my name or character to be unfairly tarnished,” he said.

Sheggz stated that he had been single since the beginning of the year and denied being unfaithful during the relationship.

“For clarity, I did not cheat on Bella, and I have been single since January 2026,” he said.

The reality star also revealed that he battled illness in 2025 and spent considerable time receiving treatment in England before returning to Nigeria in October.

He said issues that emerged during that period affected the trust in their relationship, despite efforts to resolve them.

Sheggz disclosed that he had genuinely planned a future with Bella and even bought an engagement ring before deciding that the relationship could no longer continue.

“I genuinely wanted the relationship to work. I even went as far as purchasing a ring because I believed in the possibility of a future together,” he said.

He, however, said the relationship eventually reached a point where both parties could no longer continue, adding that he had no intention of engaging in a public exchange with Bella or her family.

​“I have no desire for hostility or public back-and-forth. I simply want to move forward peacefully with dignity and respect for everyone involved. I wish Bella nothing but the best in life and I hope we can all eventually move on with grace,” he said.
