Electoral Act: CSOs Urges Buhari To Sign Bill Into law

A Coalition of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the Electoral Act Amendment Bill into law without further delay.

Daily Trust reports that the National Assembly passed the bill and forwarded same to Mr President for assent on 19 November.

The Executive Director, Adopt A Goal for Development, Mr. Ariyo-Dare Atoye, who spoke on behalf of the coalition, at a rally on Thursday in Abuja, said Mr. President would be doing the country a huge favor by signing the bill into law.

“History beckons on him to the signed Electoral Bill 2021 as a perfect gift to Nigerians. This is an opportunity to etch his name in Nigeria’s democratic plate. President Buhari in June had promised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that he would provide it with the relevant instrument to enable it discharge its responsibilities more effectively.

“The opportunity has come for the president to show fidelity to his words by rejecting excuses being made by some politicians who want to continue with the business-as-usual politics,” Atoye said.

They also wrote a letter to President Muhammadu Buhari, which they took to the Presidential Villa for submission.

Other members of the coalition who signed the letter include Maryam Ahmed, Programme Officer, Center For Liberty; Jude Feranmi, Convener, Raising New Voices; Simi Olusola, and Executive Director, The Nigerian Alliance among others.

Nigerian internet sensation Bobrisky has once again captured the spotlight with recent photos that showing a romantic moment with his lover.


The images, shared on his social media, shows the couple in matching black Ankara outfits, exuding elegance and affection.

He had captioned the stunning photos “love in the air” hinting at the fact that he was in fact in love with love with the man contrary to contrary belief.



Bobrisky , donned a stunning black lace material, while his lover complemented the look with a sleek black Abadda fabric. The both looked striking in their pose, with Bobrisky’s partner holding him from behind.

This display of affection follows a series of notable romantic events in Bobrisky’s life. In February 2023, just before Valentine’s Day, Bobrisky had shared an early gift from his boyfriend. His Snapchat profile had revealed a generous 5 million Naira credit.

Also, back in to November 2022, Bobrisky had openly expressed his gratitude for his boyfriend’s constant support, including a monthly allowance of 17,000 dollars for feeding and other expenses.

More recently, Bobrisky made headlines with his transformation journey. After a brief hiatus from social media, he returned with a newly acquired backside, sharing updates on his recovery process. This change was not without its challenges, as Bobrisky disclosed struggles during the surgery, even fearing for his life at one point

Man United Will Sack Ten Hag If…, Merson Warns

Arsenal legend, Paul Merson has said Manchester United will sack manager Erik ten Hag if they lose their next three fixtures.


The Red Devils host Chelsea in the Premier League this Wednesday.

United lost 1-0 at Newcastle in their last game and will be looking to bounce back when they host the Blues.


Ten Hag’s men go into the game nine points off leaders Arsenal.

In the Champions League, United sit bottom of their group ahead of their final fixture against Bayern Munich.

Merson believes that the next three games could determine the manager’s fate.


“If they lose to Chelsea, Bournemouth, and Bayern, I don’t see how Ten Hag keeps his job.

“I do think they’ll beat Bournemouth, however, and they could do well against a Bayern Munich side that has already qualified for the Round of 16,” Merson wrote for Sportskeeda.
