Anthony Joshua: “Lives are cheaply treated in Nigeria” – Ayo Makun calls out the government over the bad state of roads

Published

on

Nigerian comedian and actor Ayo Makun, better known as AY, has called out the government as he reacts to the fatal accident involving famous boxer Anthony Joshua.

It was reported on Monday that the World heavyweight boxer, was involved in a road accident along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Makun area of Ogun State.

He was said to be travelling in a Lexus SUV with registration number KRD 850 HN, which collided with a stationary truck. While the boxer sustained minor injuries, two occupants of the vehicle reportedly died on the spot.

Reacting to the sad news on his Instagram page, he noted that lives are being taken for granted in Nigeria. He expressed how saddened he was that a Nigerian who has carried our flag with pride across the world returned home only for two of his closest associates to be met by death on our roads.

He said such shows failure from road safety systems, infrastructure, and leadership. AY questioned how many are going to die before our roads are made safe.

The comedian stated that a country that can’t protect its people is a country in urgent need of accountability. He called for safer roads, proper enforcement, effective emergency response systems, and a government that treats human life as sacred.

Ay said his heart is heavy for Anthony Joshua and his prayers are with the families of the departed and everyone grieving the loss.

“Today is a painful reminder of how cheaply lives are treated in Nigeria.
It is devastating that a Nigerian who has carried our flag with pride across the world can return home only for two of his closest associates to be met by death on our roads. Two precious lives gone. Friends. Brothers. People with families, dreams, and futures. This is not fate. This is failure.
Failure of our road safety systems.
Failure of infrastructure.
Failure of leadership.
How many more must die before our roads are made safe? How long will we keep celebrating excellence abroad while exposing our own people to danger at home? This tragedy is traumatising and unacceptable.
A country that cannot protect its people is a country in urgent need of accountability. We need safer roads, proper enforcement, effective emergency response systems, and a government that treats human life as sacred, not disposable.
My heart is heavy for Anthony Joshua. My prayers are with the families of the departed and with everyone grieving this senseless loss. May their souls rest in perfect peace.
Nigeria must do better. Lives depend on it”.

‘You met me for prostitution’ – Ehizogie Ogbebor attacks Diadem Adeola as Dabota Lawson feud deepens

Published

on

Socialite, Ehizogie Ogbebor, has accused beauty entrepreneur and reality TV star, Diadem Adeola, of involving her in the ongoing dispute with Dabota Lawson.

A voice note of the accusation, allegedly from Ogbebor, was shared by Diadem on her Snapchat story amid the continuing feud involving the two women.

In the recording, Ogbebor challenged Diadem over comments allegedly made about her and questioned her connection with a man identified as Churchill.

Ogbebor also alleged that Diadem travelled to meet her for prostitution more than a decade ago, while denying claims that Churchill had any relationship with her.

She further accused Diadem of previously staying in an Airbnb she rented with her boyfriend and questioned why her name was brought into the dispute.

“You’ve forgotten how you flew in to Uyo to meet me for prostitution 12/13 years ago. You’ve forgotten? Since you want to start, then let’s start talking,” Ogbebor said in the voice note.

She also dismissed an alleged claim that Churchill had rejected her, saying she had no relationship with the man.

“Me, Churchill rejected me? You’re a fool, Churchill no reach,” she said.

Ogbebor further accused Diadem of dragging her name into the dispute after allegedly making claims involving Churchill, while describing him as a man who mistreats women.

“Your favourite Lagos Oloshos are fighting” – Shade Ladipo shades Diiadem and Dabota Lawson following their fallout

Published

on

Media personality Shade Ladipo has thrown shots at former friends, Diiadem and Dabota Lawson.

The two have been going off at each other, with Diiadem accusing Dabota of using blogs to smear her name.

Responding to her, Dabota noted that she was the best sister in the world for helping Diiadem during her pregnancy with her married boyfriend in November.

She confirmed that Diiadem was dating a married man named Churchill and pretending to be friends with his wife.

Hitting back at her, Diiadem said she had never denied knowing him and claimed Churchill rejected her friend, Ehi Ogbebor and Dabota spent a lot of time trying to make that happen for her.

She claimed Dabota spoke badly about Tonto and further alleged that she tried to introduce her to various men and was sending her pictures to them for her own financial gain.

Reacting to their beef, Shade called them Lagos Oloshos, noting how they are the ones fond of sharing biblical verses and telling people they work hard.

She said that, as someone who worked in the entertainment industry, she was shocked that many of their favourites make most of their money on their backs.

” I hear your fave Lagos Oloshos are fighting.

These are the first people to post Bible verses and tell you how hard they work.

As someone who was in the entertainment industry.
You will be shocked that most of your faves make most of their money on their backs, and this is a fact!!

Well, I guess a blow job is still a job”.
