50 Cent Turned Down Donald Trump’s $3 Million Offer to Perform at Madison Square Garden Rally

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson says he turned down a $3 million offer from Donald Trump and the Republican Party to perform at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday night.

“I got a call, they wanted me (for) Sunday,” the rapper and TV mogul told The Breakfast Club on Tuesday morning when asked by a host if he had been asked to endorse the former president as he campaigns to return to the White House.

“They offered me $3 million,” 50 Cent revealed, while also confirming he had been asked to perform the song “Many Men (Wish Death)” at the Republican National Convention this summer. But he declined that invitation as well.

Hulk Hogan, Dr. Phil McGraw, Dana White and Elon Musk spoke in support of Trump at a rally at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Sunday.

50 Cent said conversations with the Republican Party about performances and endorsements were non-starters because “I’m afraid of politics, so you understand? I do not like no part of politics. It’s because when you do get involved in (politics), no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you.”

50 Cent added he also steers clear of religion, alongside politics. “That’s the formula for the confusion that sent Kanye (West) to Japan. He said something about both of those things — and now he can only go to Japan,” he argued.

The Breakfast Club hosts then said they had to wrap up the interview with 50 Cent because they had Vice President Kamala Harris on the line and jokingly asked if their guest wanted to say hello. At that point, 50 Cent rose from his seat in mock outrage and questioned: “Why you guys put me into this stuff! I thought we was cool? What you doing man?”

The rapper then embraced his podcast hosts amid laughter as the interview ended.
